Why this blog? Since I can remember, my life has been defined by a variety of intense and memorable experiences on the sea and in the air. To roughly paraphrase Charles Lindbergh, I have been drawn to aviation (and the sea) because of my interest in adventure, freedom, science and beauty, which both aviation and the sea have provided me in great measure.
